The Panettone Filippi meets another classic “good” of the holidays: the almonds nougat (Mandorlato) of Cologna Veneta.

To the traditional ingredients of the Classic Panettone Filippi, we have added many pieces of almond that, melting while cooking, leave in our panettone fragrant traces of honey and soft almonds.

The Mandorlato delicacy is made of honey, egg white and almonds and is a typical dessert in the area of Cologna Veneta, for centuries known as the dessert of the Christmas holidays. It is said that the almond was known and appreciated already at the time of the Serenissima Republic, where in the fifteenth century the town of Cologna was considered an integral part of the Venetian ‘Dogado’.

This is a very special panettone, for the composition but also because it represents a tribute to the confectionery culture of the beloved Veneto Region.
